This website has been blackout in protest of CISPA.

It looks like we might have killed CISPA in the Senate.

You might remember a few weeks ago I was talking about doing the Couch to 5k program, and I tried it for a day, and then stopped talking about it. I still kept saying I was going to do it, I even bought a running belt for my stuff. But I could not make myself go out and do it.
After much thought and debate I decided I didn’t like taking orders from a stupid robot, and I wasn’t going to leave my dog in the house while I spent 30 minutes exercising when he needed exercise too. Today I decided I was going to run this morning. Then I woke up and it was raining and my attitude was, well screw it.
Then, after the condo showing, the sun came out, and Magnus was looking longingly out the window. So I decided to dress for a run, take him for a walk and see what happened.
It actually turned out really well, we walked for awhile, then we ran, not jogged, Magnus doesn’t understand that speed. If you are running it’s a chasing game, and Magnus is fast - always one of the fastest at the dog park. Good thing is Magnus is a sprinter, not a distance runner, so it was run as fast as you can then break because he had to pee on a bush. This gave me time to take a breath and drink some water and get ready to go again - thank god cause I needed it.
Magnus and I did a total of 2.7 miles today (estimated on Google Maps after we got back - I forgot to turn on a GPS tracker). I am estimating about .36 of a mile of that was actually full speed running (also estimated on Google Maps after getting back), and the rest was varying speeds of walking. We spent about 40 minutes at it, considering stopping for street crossing, to pee on all of Magnus’ favorite bushes, and talking to the lady with the yellow lab and the mailman, we did pretty good.
Now, lets see if we can do it again Sunday (tomorrow we’ll be in Kentucky for Daniel’s lovely nieces graduation and I am going to try to squeeze in a visit to my Mom & Granny for Mother’s Day).
The above picture is Riverfront Park, and how high the river currently is. It’s on Magnus’ and my ‘running’ route.
